With Drupal 7 becoming end of life in 2021, the Web & Development Solutions team is taking the opportunity to experiment with new possibilities for Drupal 8. The team utilized our 2018 CCS annual report to test out a decoupled Drupal back-end for content, and a modern, innovative front-end utilizing frameworks Gatsby and React, evaluating these options for the future of the U of G Drupal platform. These new frameworks could provide more flexibility for campus users and more simplified website maintenance.
