Topic5Gryph Forms: Automating Processes for Improved Productivity

Gryph Forms is U of G’s implementation of BP Logix’s Process Director, a leading business process management platform. Gryph Forms is a campus-wide solution for automating workflow processes, including digital approvals, document routing, and electronic forms.

Imthiyaz Hameed is the system administrator for Gryph Forms at U of G, and together with other teammates on the Applications & Project Management team, has spent the last year building out Gryph Forms for use on campus. This has included the development of user resources, an online community of practice for developers, an advisory panel to guide decision making, and the creation of a service model for implementation. Today, there are various implementation options for campus units:

  • They can develop their own Gryph Forms solution if they have the required in-house IT support. This has been a successful model for departments like the Registrar and the School of Engineering.
  • Units can partner with CCS and have a dedicated resource for the development of their tailored Gryph Forms solution. Joel Hubbert is working with the Finance Department, Robert Adams works with Office of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies, and Sean Faulkner is working with several business managers to develop unique solutions for various colleges on campus.
  • Units can also hire a third-party developer at their own expense – a developer that has been vetted by CCS and understands the U of G environment.
