The way we work on campus continues to evolve. People require the ability to work from wherever they are, on multiple devices, while achieving a high level of collaboration and connection with colleagues. To help enable increasing productivity within this new paradigm, CCS is providing a multitude of collaboration tools to meet the unique needs of our workforce.
- Teams is a one-stop platform for seamless group collaboration. It includes persistent workplace chat (chats that can be referenced later), file sharing, video conferencing, and integration with your favourite Office 365 apps. Teams is available for the entire campus and can be easily accessed via the Office 365 toolkit.
- WebEx offers user-friendly video and web conferencing abilities, with meetings that can include participants from any geographical location. WebEx is ideal for staff and faculty who prefer a personal meeting room with simple link, the ability to schedule web conferences with small or large groups of participants, who want to provide a call-in number, or for those who want the capability to integrate with video conferencing systems.
- Jabber allows staff and faculty to take their office extensions with them wherever they go. Users can receive or make outbound calls on their work extension directly from their mobile phone, tablet, or laptop, with some added collaboration features including instant messaging, user presence (listing busy, in meeting, available, etc.), and enhanced and easy voicemail access.
- Skype for Business offers another familiar and popular option for video and web conferencing. Ideal for students, staff and faculty alike, Skype allows strong integration with Office 365, including Teams.
